MAFX Trading Calculator Suite

Plan every trade before you enter. Use the MAFX calculators to control risk, size your positions, and understand your potential profit and loss.

Position Size Calculator

Calculate the optimal position size based on your account size, risk percentage, and stop-loss distance.

$
For most FX pairs with a standard lot, 1 pip ≈ 10 of the quote currency (e.g., $10).
Example: 100,000 for standard FX, 10,000 for mini, 100 for gold (XAUUSD) depending on your broker.

Result

0.00 lots

Units: 0

Risk Amount: $0.00

The position size is based on your account size, risk %, stop-loss, and pip value per lot.

How to Use the MAFX Position Size Calculator

  1. Enter your account size – type your trading account balance (e.g., 1000 for $1,000).
  2. Set your risk per trade (%) – choose how much of your account you want to risk on this trade (e.g., 1 or 2).
  3. Input your stop-loss in pips – count the distance between your entry and stop-loss in pips and enter that number.
  4. Fill in “Pip value per 1 lot” – for most FX pairs, 1 standard lot is about $10 per pip. For crosses, indices, or gold, use the pip value from your broker or platform.
  5. Set the contract size per 1 lot – typical FX standard lot is 100,000 units. Gold, indices, and other products may use different contract sizes; follow your broker’s specification.
  6. Click “Calculate” – the tool will show the recommended lot size, number of units, and the money you are risking on this trade.

The calculator automatically converts your risk % into a money amount and compares it to the loss for one full lot. It then gives you the exact lot size that keeps your risk at the level you planned. Use it before every trade to keep your risk consistent and your position sizing precise.
